We chatted about her slightly unofficial job title 👀, what keeps her career interesting and where she hopes it might take her next. Plus, why DeskLodge works just as well for studying as it does for the day job. 📚

What’s the name of your company?

StackHPC Ltd 💾

Why did you choose your role/industry?

I've worked in finance for 10 years but I've changed industries a few times. NHS, manufacturing, travel/events & now IT/high performance computing. The change means I'm constantly learning & facing new challenges that don't quite exist in other sectors which keeps me keen! I originally looked into finance because math was one of my favorite classes in school (I'm well aware I'm a nerd), and luckily the career fit me well 🤓

What is the most surprising part of your job?

I am the chief nagger in Stack 😂 (personally, I think that's a more appropriate job title than Accounts Assistant/Project Finance Officer)

What are your plans for your career path?

I am currently completing AAT & will then move on to ACCA to become a chartered accountant. Once I'm chartered, I'd like to live & work abroad for a few years. New Zealand is at the top of the list! 🇳🇿

How does DeskLodge help you do your job?

The flexible access & comfortable environment make it really easy not just to work, but to study as well 📚

Are you remote, on-site or hybrid?

Technically hybrid but who doesn't want to see Thoth or Han Solo every day? 🤔
