One of the best things about DeskLodge is getting to work alongside people who are making a real difference in Bristol.
This month, we caught up with Molly from BBRC to chat about investing in organisations that create positive impact, why community matters, and how a workspace can be so much more than just somewhere to plug in your laptop.
If I'm totally honest, I feel like I kind of fell into it! I initially started out working in impact investment in India and then wanted to move into something a bit closer to home!
We invest in place, with many of the organisations we support based in Bristol. That means we actually get to see the impact they create in the city, whether that's through jobs, community projects, or environmental initiatives. It's pretty rewarding to witness the difference first-hand.
To support more investment into the impact economy across the region! The West of England is a bit of a social enterprise hotspot, so I'd love to see even more organisations getting the support and investment they need to grow.
Other than the on-tap coffee and the constant supply of Love Hearts on the first floor?
DeskLodge strikes the perfect balance between a professional work environment and a bit of fun. It's great having all the facilities you need while also getting the chance to meet and chat with people from completely different sectors who I probably wouldn't cross paths with otherwise.
Also, the team are always on hand with a spare charger when I inevitably forget mine!
Hybrid – although if this heatwave continues, I may end up moving into DeskLodge full-time...
