Jumbling fun at DeskLodge Old Market

The first ever DeskLodge Jumble took place in The Oak Tree at our Old Market location in Bristol as a trial event in October and has gained a lot of interest ever since!

Clear your mind of the shabby old jumble sales of the past, with the DeskLodge Jumbles we want to offer good quality items from vintage clothing, collectable vinyl collections, unused tech equipment and good quality books. With an aim to find your pre-loved items a new home!

The idea behind the Jumble events is to get our DeskLodge community involved in a fun event, where they can pass on pre-loved treasures and save waste from landfill, whilst making a little bit of money for charity too.

We are always looking for new ways to raise money for local charities at DeskLodge and all the money raised from the Jumblers renting a table to sell their pre-loved goodies goes to a local charity – on this occasion we have topped up our collection from the Bristol Giving Day Bake off event!

What can you sell?

The October Jumble saw pre-loved fashion items, retro kitchenwares, tech gear and nearly new books being sold.

For future events we would like to see a wide variation of pre-loved items at the Jumble events from artworks to antique gems to plants. We also invite DeskLodger makers to get involved with a stall too, sharing your talents with the DeskLodge Community.

Where and when?

The DeskLodge Jumble events take place over a two hour period around lunchtime from 12-2pm, there are also tables available so you can continue to work on your laptop whilst you sell! Now that’s insanely productive!

If you are a DeskLodger and would be interested in selling at the next Old Market jumble event then please do get in touch with a member of the DeskLodge team to find out more.

We are planning the next jumble to take place in January, perhaps with an unwanted Christmas present amnesty included? Let us know what you think!

Sound like fun? Help save items from landfill and get involved!

Happy Jumbling!
