They say variety is the spice of life. It turns out, it’s also the key to a productive work day. The modern worker needs to be adaptable, so why shouldn’t their workspace? From Zoom Zones to Focus Rooms and everything in between; here’s how a varied work day might look at DeskLodge.
If you’re in at 8am, you deserve to start your day right! Both DeskLodge sites are stocked with an never-ending supply of tea and barista quality coffees and syrups. Keep an eye out weekly for free fruit, and monthly for free breakfast!
If you’re a “don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee” kind of person, you might want to start the day in one of the Silent Workspaces. While there’s no chat, we’ve worked hard to make sure they’re not sterile or boring. You can be soaking up the cosy feel of the of the Hobbit Hole at DeskLodge House, or being transported to a world of focus under the gently glowing lights of the T.A.R.D.I.S. at Beacon Tower.
Check in with the team or make a remote meeting in a snap. There are two types of call areas at DeskLodge. If you’re a 'calls all day' kind of worker, you might want to make yourself at home in a Zoom Zone. These comfy booths are a great spot to work with a laptop, and they’re designated for frequent phoners! (Just bring headphones please.)
If you’ve got a private call or important video meeting, hop into a private phone booth! You’ll find plenty dotted around and they’re free to use for an hour at a time.
Both DeskLodge locations are situated near a choice of Food Markets and restaurants. But if you’re staying onsite there’s still plenty to look forward to. Lunch break, old-school at DeskLodge House by picking out lunch from the Snack Shack and heading to the big kitchen for retro arcade games and a buzzy, communal canteen atmosphere.
At Beacon Tower you can dine alfresco on our huge suntrap roof terrace! Soak up the rays or sit in the shade under the canopy. (You could even bring your laptop out and do a spot of work up there.)
There’s plenty of places for teams at DeskLodge. Our meeting rooms aren’t just unique to look at (and the perfect icebreaker) they’re functional too. Big screens, whiteboards, OWL conference cameras, and flipcharts are all available. Whether you need a 16-seater boardroom, or a cosy room for two with armchairs and a fireplace.
If you don’t need a full-blown meeting room, up to 4 people can hop into a Team Booth for free for 90 minutes at a time! Built for collaboration, they all provide amounted screen for working together.
So now you need a second screen to work on all those plans you just hashed out. We know how important a monitor can be to a work day.
DeskLodge House has two spaces across two floors with second screens for you to plug into, with a section of 4K monitors available for those extra detailed jobs. This is DeskLodge so they’re not without a twist! Where else could you work in Wonderland?
You might not be able to skim stones in the beachy and bright Ground Floor at Beacon Tower, but you are a stone’s throw from the coffee machine! Plus, there’s plenty of monitors to go around.
