How bringing your team together for an activity can improve teamwork

For the last year, DeskLodge has been proud to partner with Roxy Lanes to offer our members discounts on their activities, food and drink. Additionally, the Roxy team love to drop in to our locations with drinks and games for popups or to support our socials.

We asked Tatiana Murray, Roxy's Sales & Events Manager for her thoughts on why activities can help a team work better together:

"Bringing your team together for a fun activity is a great way to build stronger relationships and improve teamwork. Stepping away from the usual work setting helps everyone relax, have a laugh, and get to know each other properly. When people feel comfortable around one another, communication becomes easier and working together feels more natural.

Team activities give everyone a chance to join in, support each other, and share the experience. They also help highlight different strengths within the group in a positive way. Roxy Lanes Union Street is a great example of this, as it has all games under one roof. With so many activities to choose from, there’s something for everyone, which means no one feels left out and the whole team can enjoy the day together.

Sharing fun moments, friendly competition, and a few laughs helps build trust and boosts team spirit. These shared experiences often carry back into the workplace, creating a happier, more connected team that works better together overall."
