We chatted to the awesome Rory Mccgwire who is the Founder CEO of Atom Content Marketing - him and his team work between DeskLodge Old Market & House. They started life as a pioneering “electronic publisher” in 1991, before CD-ROMS and long before the internet turned publishing on its head. It has been a proverbial roller coaster ride for all 28 years.
How do you use DeskLodge?
When we joined all of the fixed desks were all taken so we joined the queue for fixed desks and had the option to start hotdesking, whilst we waited for some desks to become available. We’ve never looked back from hotdesking though, and will always work this way now.
What does your company/business do?
We are best known for our six business advice websites such as Marketing Donut and Law Donut (hence my photo). We also license lots of this type of content to banks, law firms, universities, Chambers of Commerce, etc.
How long have you been coming to Desklodge?
We have been here for 2 years!
What is your favourite thing about your job?
The people I work with. Corny but true.
What is your favourite thing about DeskLodge?
The team!
What do you do in your spare time?
All sorts. But the day always starts with looking after our two chickens.
When/where have you seen the best fireworks of your life?
Dunno... But the most memorable one was the firework that we lit indoors thinking that it was a ‘table firework’, but turned out to be an outdoor one.
