DeskLodger of the Month June 2022

Say hello to the awesome Claire Sharp. She works for Picocom, who design those clever little microchips that make sure we all get great mobile signal. We caught up with Claire to find out a bit more about her.

What does Picocom do?

Picocom designs chips to ensure everyone gets a great mobile signal both indoor and out.

What is the best thing about your job?

As an office manager I wear many hats, I really enjoy the variety this brings to my day and the interaction I have with my colleagues, the DeskLodge team and our fellow DeskLodgers.

How do you stay motivated and productive?

Meditation and exercise generally keep me feeling more focused and productive.

Where is your favourite place to work at DeskLodge?

There are some amazing meeting spaces in DeskLodge, I really love the quirkiness and the thought that has gone into them. My absolute favourite has to be The Saloon, it is so relaxed and cosy, it just doesn’t feel like you’re in a meeting room.

What's the most valuable piece of advice you've been given in work/business?

Keep learning, everything changes and if you don’t continue to learn and find new avenues to explore you will become unfulfilled.

What do you do in your spare time?

I’m currently restoring my cottage which takes up a lot of my time, I’m a keen gardener, and a member of Rock Choir (you’ll often find me singing in my garden!) In addition, I love to bake and read, catch up with my friends, and I visit the sea when I can find the time.
