Big shout outs to some super companies in Bristol

We meet some great Bristol businesses in our day-to-day life. Many of them are DeskLodgers, of course. But others are just awesome companies where we get a coffee and pastry, or grab a lunchtime sarnie.

So we thought we’d like to salute those enterprises – big and small – who help make our working day just that little bit better.

Hart’s Bakery

A stone’s throw from DeskLodge House in Bristol is this gem of a bakery. These demons of the dough specialise in all kinds of tempting treats, including sausage rolls, pasties, handmade pastries, cakes and savouries. Their mouth-watering munchies have been a comfort to us here at DeskLodge, and make no mistake! It’ll be just what you knead too. Open for takeaway and Click & Collect. Feast your eyes at hartsbakery.co.uk

Bloom Gardening

All gardeners are green fingered, but Bloom Gardening are green all over! They only use battery-powered garden machinery, recharged from renewable sources. No petrol, no emissions and low noise. And everything they use in your garden will be organic. Oh yes, and £1 from every hour of their work goes towards helping kids to garden in school. In short, Bloom Gardening are blooming awesome. Follow them on Instagram!

Mokoko Coffee Bakery

We like to keep things simple here at DeskLodge. That’s why we love Mokoko Coffee Bakery. Refreshingly straightforward and unpretentious, they make all the things you love by hand each day, the honest way. You’ll find there’s one in Bristol, on Wapping Wharf. Check out their Insta at @mokokocoffeebakery

Loop Massage

If life ever gets full-on, then take time out at Loop Massage. Holistic massages, facials, reflexology… They have whatever you need to drift away on a little white fluffy cloud. You can also relieve the tension on your finances too, because there’s a 10% discount when you quote DESKBREAK. Follow them at @loopmassage today

Coffee Box Bristol

Sometimes, things just happen that you can’t explain. Or you don’t want to understand. Things like the brilliant Coffee Box in Bristol. Rather than being a traditional coffee shop with walls and windows (very old fashioned), they’ve plumped for a converted horsebox. Funky, cool and with thoroughbred coffee and cakes, the Coffee Box is one of a kind.

Keep up to date @thecoffeeboxbristol

Kate’s Kitchen

Workplace and corporate catering doesn’t get any better than Kate’s Kitchen. Using healthy, seasonal ingredients they create the most nutritious and delicious menus, at a fair price. In fact, we think it’s worth arranging an important client meeting just to get them in! Discover more at kateskitchenbristol.co.uk

Hats off to all these entrepreneurs! We’ll be swinging by again before long.
